# Quick start

### Installation

1. Visit the [Shopify App Store](https://apps.shopify.com/) and search for "Smash - AI Product Description."
2. Click **Install** and follow the installation instructions.
3. Once installed, navigate to the app from your Shopify admin panel.

### Connecting to Your Store

Smash automatically syncs with your Shopify store. After installation:

* All products will be available in the app.
* Select a product to generate or update descriptions.
* You will have 3,000 free credits to start.

### How to use

#### Generating a Description for a Single Product

1. Navigate to the **Products** page and click to select a product.
2. Click the **Generate Description** button at the top right corner.
3. Choose a language and adjust settings (format, tone, keywords).
4. Click **Generate** and review the AI-generated content.
5. Click **Sync to Shopify** to save the new description to Shopify.

#### Bulk Description Generation

1. Navigate to the **Products** page.
2. Select multiple products by clicking the checkbox in the top left of the table.
3. Choose language and customization options.
4. Click **Generate** and wait for the process to complete. The result will be displayed on the **Bulk** page.
5. Click **Sync all to Shopify** to save the new description to Shopify.

#### Automation

When turned on, every time a new product is created in your store, it will automatically generate a description.

1. Navigate to the **Automation** page.
2. Under **Turn on automation**, select the **Auto-generate content for new products** checkbox.
3. Modify **Customization Options** if desired.
4. Click **Save**.

### Settings & Customization

* **Custom Format**: Set your preferred description format.
* **Language**: Choose the language for AI-generated descriptions (default: English).
* **Tone & Style**: Adjust the level of formality or creativity.
* **Keyword Preferences**: Ensure important keywords are included in descriptions.

### FAQs

**Q: Can I edit AI-generated descriptions?**\
A: Yes, all descriptions can be manually edited before applying them.

**Q: How many languages are supported?**\
A: The app supports multiple languages, including English, Spanish, French, German, and more. You can also add more languages on the **Settings** page.

**Q: Does the app overwrite existing descriptions?**\
A: Only if you choose to apply the AI-generated description to a product.
