# Billing

Smash uses a **pay-as-you-go** model instead of a subscription plan like other apps. This means you only pay for what you use—no worrying about unused credits expiring at the end of the month.

Only **successfully generated** product descriptions will consume credits. **Failed generations will not be charged.**

**Free Credits & Pricing**

* You’ll receive &#x31;**,000 free credits** to explore how the app works. Each credit allows you to generate one product description.
* After that, the cost is **$4.99 per 1,000 credits**, with discounts available for larger purchases (see the table below).

| ≥ 10,000 | 10%      |
| ≥ 30,000 | 20%      |
| ≥ 50,000 | 30%      |
| ≥ 80,000 | 40%      |

**How to Buy Credits**

1. In the **"Add to credit balance"** section, enter the number of credits you want to purchase.
2. The app will automatically calculate the total price, including any applicable discounts. The final cost will be displayed next to the input field.
3. You can purchase anywhere between **1,000 and 100,000 credits** at a time.
4. Click **Continue** to proceed to Shopify’s checkout page.

**Important Note**

If your credit balance doesn’t update immediately after purchase, please allow up to **30 minutes** for processing.
